 I had to write to tell you how much we both enjoyed our "Nostalgic" day tour with you. Your Tours of the Realm tour was very informative and we really appreciated the time and effort you put into this tour. We had given Jane some locations that both our Dad's were located in, during their younger years and Jane organized a fantastic tour day for us!
We really enjoyed the beautiful countryside with the "hold your breath" lanes between the hedgerows...the delicious Pub Lunch...the photo stops and all the information you shared with us.The highlight for me (Pat) was to be able to walk around an old barracks that my Dad had been based at in WW2!! Thank You Jane for providing us with such a memorable experience! :)

What an absolutely wonderful way to begin a vacation! Jane Martin …owner/operator of Tours of the Realm made it all so easy from our Gatwick airport pick-up…touring the beautiful British countryside – lovely pub lunch, visits to Stonehenge, Baths before an on-time delivery to our pre-cruise Southampton hotel. Jane's hospitality, local knowledge and professional manner made Tours of the Realm the perfect choice for our travel plans. Pick-up arrangements following a British Isles cruise went equally well - including sightseeing, lunch and airport hotel delivery prior to our return flight. We can confidently recommend Tours of the Realm to all travellers.
But – what made this trip so very special is Jane. Her friendly and accommodating style is totally designed for your enjoyment. Thank you Jane for a very memorable experience that exceeded our expectations.
This was our second time with Tours of the Realm but hopefully not our last.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with you. You were very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited and quite entertaining, in addition.

 We arrived at Heathrow looking for our guide and found a wonderful friend!! Jane goes out of her way to accommodate even the more remote request made by her clients (like finding a replica of an oast house!) at the same time she is beguiling us with stories of English history, past and present.
The tours are totally planned with her guests in mind and each new town presents a different perspective of the real England as we visited villages, towns and even the beach!
The castles and cathedrals become living history during the tour, and Jane can guarantee sampling of the most marvellous English fare - you will become an expert on teas and cakes while Jane offers little peeks and journeys into places most visitors never see.  Our trip with you was fabulous. The "let down" that one feels when leaving a cruise was put on hold as we spent a wonderful day with you.
I can't think of a better way to spend the day, slowly taking the back roads from Dover to Heathrow.

 On a tour of Kent and West Sussex before our recent Baltic cruise, Jane planned a wonderful itinerary for us that included charming castles, classic cathedrals, cute cobblestoned villages, and delicious pub cuisine. She was professional and personable, and our time together was enhanced by the wealth of interesting historical information and fascinating tidbits that she shared.
Jane was at all times a knowledgeable tour guide whose main concern was that we enjoy ourselves and gain an appreciation of the Kent area that she loves and knows so well. Her goal is to give people a “taste of the real Britain” and facilitate travel to parts of the country they wouldn't see with a regular bus tour. She wants her clients to feel reassured and looked after and to take them off the beaten track to places they aren't aware of or couldn't find by themselves. Jane also speaks fluent French and can arrange Battlefield tours to Normandy and to other parts of Britain. We enthusiastically recommend booking a tour and transfer with Jane Martin and Tours of the Realm. It is worth every pound, pence, and penny!

I had a wonderful tour of the countryside between London and Dover with Jane from Tours of the Realm. We covered much of the countryside and several small towns/villages at a relaxed pace.
The pub lunch was wonderful and of course Canterbury Cathedral is an experience in itself.

 Before embarking on a 12 day Baltic Russia cruise, we had the opportunity to tour from Dover , England . We booked a private tour with Jane Martin who operates Tours of the Realm. Never having met Jane before, we booked and paid for our tour via her website. I can say without reservation that it was one of the highlights of our trip. Jane picked us up from our hotel and took us to Canterbury Cathedral, Leeds Castle, the White Cliffs and drove us through the English countryside. She was informative about each attraction and her pleasant personality added to our experience. Upon completion of our tour she dropped us off at the cruise ship. .jpg) Our day with Jane was like a breath of fresh air.
My husband and I had wrapped up a week long escorted coach tour just a few days before our Tour of the Realms day. We were ready for a little non-regimented time, but we wanted to see several castles and get a good look at the beautiful countryside. I don’t know how Jane did it, but we managed to see all of the sights we had requested without feeling at all rushed.
Lunch was especially relaxing at a charming little pub that dated back to the 15th century. Jane provided extras such as bread for the ducks at Bodiam Castle, cold drinks at the end of our visit to Leeds Castle, and even did a little shopping for us when our camera batteries gave out. Her commentary on the Kent area added to the enjoyment and reflected the love she feels for this part of England.
The day was certainly one of the highlights of our trip to Great Britain.

 When we saw that our Mediterranean cruise ended in Dover we knew that we would need a transfer to London but wanted a nice tour along the way. Luckily I found Jane Martin of " Tours of the Realm".

 We loved seeing and experiencing the beautiful Canterbury Cathedral. The architecture and atmosphere of that place are enthralling. And the best view of the White Cliffs is the one you showed us near Ian Fleming's house.
