The primary aim of Tours of the Realm is to offer guests a very relaxed and informal way to discover the wealth of rural, cultural and historical gems that are to be seen throughout Great Britain and Ireland . To that end, I normally create itineraries based on clients' specific interests, the regions that they would like to visit, the time when they are available to travel and, of course, their accommodation budget. As a result I do not mix parties, but prefer to offer an exclusive service to individual clients.
I would like to stress that I am not an historical guide, but a fully licensed driver with a great enthusiasm for showing visitors round our lovely British countryside and itineraries [ Sample itineraries United Kingdom - European - Scotland ] give a general historical, architectural, geographical and social overview of the places clients have chosen to visit. I am sure that I do not have to tell you that this type of touring is both friendly and safe. It is, therefore, ideal for those who wish to relax and enjoy the sights at a more leisurely pace, in extra comfort and with a much greater degree of flexibility and personal attention than can perhaps be given to larger groups.
Please note tours to near Continental Europe, starting from the UK only, and to Ireland are also available - full package rates are available upon demand.
• Private guided tours for between1-6 passengers. (Whilst I am licensed to carry six passengers, please note that for your greater comfort a maximum of 5 adults is recommended as the rear seat is a bench seat)
• Itineraries created and accommodation arranged, following full consultation with each client, to reflect their personal interests, pace and budget
• The owner is an 'Advanced' Driver and member of the Association of Professional Chauffeurs and will personally greet you on arrival and act as your host/chauffeur for the duration of hire
• I have just purchased a new vehicle, a Chrysler Grand Voyager which, if you are unfamiliar with the vehicle, is fully air-conditioned; offers plenty of space and legroom for guests; it has a luxurious leather interior; great visibility, particularly over our lovely hedgerows, but isn't so large that one cannot venture through our pretty lanes and tiny backroads, which normal tour buses are unable to negotiate.
